Flu season is in full effect right now, and there are simple things you can do to avoid getting the flu. Besides getting the vaccination, there isn’t much we can do to prevent getting sick. It is important that you do everything possible not to spread germs, but not everyone is going to be as courteous. Here is my guide to surviving the cold and flu season.
- Wash your hands. Lather up the soap and scrub ‘em well.
- Use throwaways to curb germs. Switch to disposable products in your bathroom such as a cup until you get better.
- Natural remedies. Try a spoonful of honey to sooth your throat, and drink lots of orange juice because it’s high in vitamin C.
- Drink extra fluids. Water, broth, and sports drinks will help thin mucus and drain your sinuses. Warm herbal tea will always warm up your throat.
